The Valley of Saoura Region  is between 500km to 700km form Algiers and forms a Crossroads of civilizations, trait of life in the Sahara, the old road of Western Sudan borders a magnificent region, the valley of the Wadi Saoura, backing onto the massif of the Grand Western Erg. This wadi, one of the most important in the country, is fed by water from the Saharan Atlas and the Moroccan High Atlas. Its description by Ibn Khaldoun dates back to the 14th century.

From here, the landscape is breathtaking, the immense yellow dunes – up to 600 meters high – seem like waves sculpted by the wind, waiting for an unlikely ocean.( Bechar, Great W Erg and Taghit).
