Constantine, known as the “City of Bridges”, is one of Algeria’s most dramatic and memorable cities. Built across steep cliffs and deep gorges, it is famous for its spectacular bridges, historic quarters and striking natural setting.
The city is home to the elegant Palace of Ahmed Bey, an excellent museum and a number of historic mosques, while its old city offers a fascinating maze of streets and viewpoints high above the Rhumel Gorge.

Local Events
Constantine hosts a number of important cultural events during the year, including the International Cultural Jazz Festival in May and the International Cultural Festival of Andalusian Music “Malouf” in July.
