Day 1
Welcome to Algiers
Arrive in Algeria's capital and transfer to your centrally located hotel. Enjoy an introductory walking and driving tour of Algiers, discovering its elegant boulevards, colonial architecture and vibrant atmosphere.
Day 2
Tipasa & Royal Mausoleum
Follow the Mediterranean coast to Oran, visiting the Royal Mausoleum of Mauretania and the magnificent UNESCO-listed Roman city of Tipasa with its amphitheatre, basilicas, temples and museum.
Day 3
Oran & Tlemcen
Explore Oran including the Bey's Palace before travelling to historic Tlemcen to visit the beautiful Great Mosque and the impressive medieval monuments that made the city one of North Africa's cultural centres.
Day 4
Colonial Oran
Continue exploring Algeria's second city, famous for its elegant colonial architecture and Mediterranean setting, before flying back to Algiers for the evening.
Day 5
Djemila UNESCO Site
Visit one of the world's finest Roman archaeological sites at Djemila. Explore its forum, temples, basilicas, triumphal arches and outstanding mosaic museum before continuing to Constantine.
Day 6
Constantine & Tiddis
Discover spectacular Constantine, the City of Bridges, visiting the Casbah, Palace of Ahmed Bey, museums and the fascinating Roman settlement of Tiddis overlooking the surrounding landscape.
Day 7
Journey to the Sahara
Travel south to the UNESCO-listed M'Zab Valley and the oasis town of Ghardaïa. Stay for three nights beside the historic fortified town of Beni Isguen.
Day 8
Explore the M'Zab Valley
Spend the day discovering Ghardaïa, ancient marketplaces, traditional Ibadi settlements, palm groves, historic mosques, tombs and the unique architecture that makes the valley a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Day 9
Return Home
Fly back to Algiers before transferring to the international airport for your onward flight, taking home unforgettable memories of Algeria's Roman heritage, Mediterranean cities and spectacular Sahara landscapes.
